Obec Ladmovce          / Ladmóc Municipality /

Ladmóc Commune lies on the edge of the D-K of Zemplén Island.

The 2/3 of the settlement is mountainous, its highest point is 280 m, on the right bank of the Bodrog River, while 1/3 of its territory is on the left bank of the river a plain type at 98- 101 m altitude.

His neighbor is Zemplén, É-Ny-i Céke, Ny-i Vineyard, D-i Bodrogszerdahely and K-i Somotor Village.

Its history is closely related to the history of Zemplén, and its archeological finds originate from ancient times.

Among the long-standing spoken names, the name "Kasvár" should be highlighted, which certainly refers to an older fortress.

It was once part of the Zemplén Castle and the Ladmóczy family came from here. the co-owners of the settlement together with the family of Ormányi.

After that, famous families alternate with possession, such as, for example, the Cscseri Russian, the Megyeriek, the Czéczeyek, the Stroprosi, the Vékey, the Sennyey, the Csicseri, the Dessewffy, the Rákóczy families, and the Welsh inhabitants of Tereerebes.

The XIX. in the first half approx. He had 22 holders, of which the most prominent are the Welsh Asators of Újhely, the Almássy, the Sennyey and the Lónyay family.

The Hungarian name of the village, the XIX. at the end, the Slovak name, while in 1948, was named Ladmovce.

It is mentioned in the 1770s as a secondary wine region. The cultivation of 24 varieties of grapes was considered at this time.

The local inhabitants lived not only from primary production and vineyards, but also on the Somos mountain, with its memories - limestone burning,

which was transported to several tens of kilometers by carriages.

It is a unique lime island that is covered with lime vegetation.

This resulted in a famous saying, which said:

"Ég Lagmóc"

this was used because the fires of the lime burners were far away from the fires in the mountains here and there.

In the Ladmóci Cadastre there is a National Reserve called Kasvár called 1953, which is 116.4 hectares and is a valuable natural area.

Its church history is very interesting, and it can already be based on a well-functioning tourist activity.

In the 1980s, the port was built for military purposes on the Bodrog River, which should be further developed in terms of its capabilities.
