If we continue our journey from Ladmóc, we turn left to Bodrog Bridge, drive through the bridge and continue our journey on Királyhelmeci Road, we reach the second largest settlement in the micro area, Somotor, after a few kilometers.

VI - VII. old Slavic settlement, ancient Hungarian burial place, big morava settlement in the X-XI. .sz.ból.

The first mention of the village dates back to the 1214s, is an agricultural settlement, a fruit and wine production, and is still inhabited.

They are mentioned as an accessory to the Zemplén Castle at the end of the 1300s.

Szomotor consists of three villages, from Vécs and from Kisújlak village attached to the village in 1943.

As a result, the settlement with a population of 1,700 inhabitants is very interesting in its geographic location.

In its territory, there are several Bodrog river backwaters. The tantalizing landscapes, rich in aquatic vegetation and fauna, are suitable for the realization of tourism investments.

According to the legends, the present name of the settlement on the "Sad Tor"

got it, saying that there was a mourning torture of the conquering Hungarians over their fallen warriors.

In the foothills of the hill there are famous wine cellars. It takes traffic to Királyhelmec. It is a beautiful panorama of the valley of the Bodrog River, which is 150 meters above sea level, rising from the hilltop up to the wall.
